ASUS drivers by model name

Get ASUS drivers from the ASUS Download Center: search your exact model name, open Driver & Tools, choose your Windows version and download. On ASUS laptops and desktops, the MyASUS app has a System Update tab that finds and installs new drivers, BIOS and firmware. ASUS Live Update reached end of support in December 2025.

Step by step

  1. Let Windows Update go first

ASUS itself points to Windows Update as a source of drivers. Install everything it offers, then check Advanced options, Optional updates for extra driver items.

  2. Get the exact model name

On a laptop, read the sticker on the bottom. ASUS often sells one series in many variants, so copy the full name, letters and numbers included. For a motherboard, the name is printed on the board and shown in the BIOS.

  3. Search it in the Download Center

Type the model name in the ASUS Download Center, open Driver & Tools, then the Driver & Utility tab. If the site asks, pick your precise model from the list.

  4. Select your operating system

Choose your Windows version. ASUS only lists files for systems it supports on that model. Use Show all to see older releases of a category if the newest one gives you trouble.

  5. Use MyASUS for future updates

Search for MyASUS in the Windows search bar and open System Update. It lists only the items your PC still needs. An empty list means you are up to date.

Live Update is gone, MyASUS replaced it

For years ASUS laptops came with ASUS Live Update. ASUS has now ended support for it and recommends getting driver updates from MyASUS or the official ASUS website. If an old copy of Live Update is still on your PC, it will not receive further versions, so do your checks in MyASUS. The System Update page there covers drivers, BIOS and firmware in one place.

Model names matter more than you think

ASUS uses long model codes, and two laptops in the same series can carry different Wi-Fi or audio parts. Searching a short series name can land you on the wrong page. Copy the full code from the label, and if the Download Center offers several close matches, pick the one that matches yours character for character.

Motherboards and older Windows

For an ASUS motherboard in a PC you built yourself, work from the board’s own model page in the Download Center and install chipset, network and audio drivers from there. If your Windows version is not in the list, ASUS has not released drivers for it on that product, and Windows Update may be your only route.

Questions

Where did ASUS Live Update go?

ASUS ended support for Live Update on 4 December 2025, with 3.6.15 as the last version. Its job moved into MyASUS, which is why newer laptops do not include it.

MyASUS has no System Update tab. Why?

ASUS says a missing tab means your device does not support that feature. Download your drivers from your model's page in the Download Center instead.

How do I find my motherboard's name?

Press Delete while the PC starts to open the BIOS; EZ mode shows the model. The name is also printed on the board and on a sticker on the box.

How do I update MyASUS itself?

ASUS says you can update the MyASUS app through the Microsoft Store, the same way you update other Store apps.
