Realtek RTL8852BE driver

The Realtek RTL8852BE is a Wi-Fi 6 PCIe card. Realtek's public WLAN driver page we checked does not list it, so use Windows Update and your laptop maker's support page, which carries the tested driver. Check Realtek's download index only as a last step.

Checked October 30, 2026 against the manufacturer's own pages.

Step by step

  1. Check the ID

Device Manager, Network adapters, adapter Properties, Details, Hardware Ids. Look for VEN_10EC with DEV_B852, B85B, 4321 or B520.

  2. Run Windows Update

Install optional driver updates. Windows 11 often finds an RTL8852BE driver itself.

  3. Open the laptop maker's support page

Search by model and open Wireless LAN. Lenovo, HP, Dell, ASUS and Acer each post their own Realtek build.

  4. Install the Bluetooth part

The same card usually has a Bluetooth radio. Install the maker's Realtek Bluetooth driver as well.

  5. Roll back if needed

Use Roll Back Driver in the adapter's Driver tab if connections fail after an update.

What the RTL8852BE is

The RTL8852BE is a Realtek Wi-Fi 6 chip on a PCIe card, fitted to laptops and some desktops by their makers. It comes after the older RTL8821CE and RTL8822BE parts, which were Wi-Fi 5. Four PCI IDs map to the BE name in the public list, including a 1T1R single-stream version and a VT revision.

Why Realtek’s own page does not help

Realtek’s WLAN downloads index lists many older chips such as RTL8821CE and RTL8723DE, but it did not show the RTL8852BE when we read it. Realtek’s driver page also tells users with systems from PC makers to use the maker’s driver where available. That makes the laptop support page the main source, with Windows Update as a close second.

Known behaviour

Weak signal and dropped links are the typical complaints. Try the maker’s newest Wi-Fi driver, then the next Windows Update driver. Do not mix Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 5 files from other Realtek chips, because they target different IDs.

Questions

Why is there no Realtek download?

Realtek's RTL8821CE page, the PCIe WLAN driver page we read, lists older chips and does not include the RTL8852BE. The Wireless LAN section of the download index did not list it either.

Is it Wi-Fi 6?

Yes. The PCI list names it an 802.11ax controller.

What does 1T1R mean?

One transmit and one receive stream. The B85B entry carries that tag, so it is a single-antenna variant.
