Get the NVIDIA Quadro driver
Use nvidia.com/drivers and choose NVIDIA RTX PRO / RTX / Quadro, then your series and card. Quadro P-series cards such as the P620 list the NVIDIA RTX Driver Release 580 (582.99). Quadro RTX, T-series and RTX A cards list release 595 (597.30). NVIDIA calls its Production Branch the old Quadro enterprise driver.

The short version

Step by step
Read the exact card name
Device Manager, Display adapters. A workstation card shows names such as Quadro P620, NVIDIA T600 or NVIDIA RTX A2000. Quadro is the old brand; newer cards drop the word.
Ask your software vendor
CAD, CAM and simulation makers publish which driver release they certified. Check their list before installing something newer.
Pick the product type
On nvidia.com/drivers choose NVIDIA RTX PRO / RTX / Quadro, then Quadro Series for P-class cards, NVIDIA RTX Series for T-class and RTX A cards, or Quadro RTX Series for Turing cards.
Choose the branch
Production Branch is the stable choice for most users. New Feature Branch gives early access to features and has shorter support.
Install and restart
Run the installer and restart. Open the NVIDIA Control Panel to check the card and your multi-display layout.
What Quadro means today
Quadro was NVIDIA’s workstation brand. Newer cards now carry the names NVIDIA RTX A, T-series or RTX PRO, and the download page groups all of them under NVIDIA RTX PRO / RTX / Quadro. The driver for them is not the GeForce driver. It is tested for professional software such as CAD, 3D and video packages, and it follows a calmer schedule than the Game Ready line.
Release 580 and release 595
NVIDIA’s lookup shows two driver lines at the same time. For Quadro P620 and P2000, which use the Pascal chip, the newest entry is NVIDIA RTX Driver Release 580, version 582.99, from October 21, 2026. For RTX A2000 and Quadro RTX 4000, the newest is Release 595, version 597.30, from October 22, 2026. The split is a sign of which cards each line supports. If your card is old and the Release 595 package does not list it, use the Release 580 package.
Chips and device codes
A Quadro P620 is a GP107GL chip at device code 1CB6 in the public PCI ID Repository. The Quadro P2000 sits at 1CFA and the P1000 at 1CB1. The T600 is a TU117GL at 1FB1, and the RTX A2000 is a GA106 at 2531. The suffix GL marks a workstation variant of a chip also sold as a GeForce card.
Production Branch or New Feature Branch
The NVIDIA page lists two branch types. Production Branch is described as the pick for most users who value stability. New Feature Branch, shortened to NFB, gives early access to new features and has a shorter support life. In a studio or office, stay on Production unless a program needs a feature that only the newer branch has.
An issue to check first
Workstation PCs often have certified ISV configurations. If you update the driver and a program starts to crash, return to the last release your software maker lists, using Roll Back Driver in Device Manager.
Questions
Is a Quadro driver different from a GeForce driver?
Yes. Quadro and RTX workstation cards use a separate download, found under NVIDIA RTX PRO / RTX / Quadro, and NVIDIA sets them apart from the GeForce list.
What is the Production Branch?
NVIDIA describes it as a rebrand of the Quadro Optimal Driver for Enterprise. It targets stable use in business workflows.
Why does my Pascal Quadro show release 580?
NVIDIA lists Quadro P-series cards such as the P620 and P2000 under the Release 580 build, with 582.99 as the newest. Newer cards list release 595.
Can I put a GeForce driver on a Quadro?
NVIDIA keeps separate downloads per product type. Use the list for your card.
