Intel AX211 driver download
The Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 is named in Intel's Windows 10 and 11 Wi-Fi package, version 24.80.0, released 20 October 2026. Laptop makers often ship tuned versions, so check Windows Update and your maker first. Bluetooth is a separate Intel installer.

The short version
What to install and where it comes from. Every link goes to the manufacturer or Microsoft, never to a copy.
Official files only, nothing bundled
Step by step
Read the adapter name
Device Manager, Network adapters: look for Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 160MHz. The Hardware Ids will show the platform name in the PCI database, not the word AX211.
Check Windows Update
Install any Intel wireless update under Optional updates. Most AX211 laptops get drivers this way.
See your laptop maker's page
Many AX211 machines are thin laptops with firmware settings from the maker. Their driver page for your model is the safest source.
Install Intel's package
If you need a newer version, download Intel's 24.80.0 Wi-Fi installer. The AX211 Gig+ is named in its supported list.
Add Bluetooth
Run Intel's Bluetooth installer separately. The AX211 is named there too.
Restart
Restart and confirm the adapter shows no warning icon.
CNVi explained
Intel built the AX211 as a companion RF module. Part of the Wi-Fi logic sits inside the processor or its chipset, and the small module holds the radio. Intel’s product brief calls the link CNVio and says the protocol is proprietary. This design saves space and cost, which is why you see it in thin laptops and small desktops using Alder Lake, Raptor Lake and later chips.
Why the hardware ID looks odd
Because the logic lives in the platform, the PCI entry carries the platform name. The list below names entries such as Alder Lake-P and the 700 series chipset. All these are Intel PCI devices with vendor ID 8086. Intel’s single Wi-Fi package covers them, and the AX211 is named in it.
When the maker version wins
An AX211 sits in the same laptop as firmware, power settings and antennas chosen by the PC maker. If Wi-Fi works, you gain little by installing Intel’s newer driver. Use Intel’s version when you see dropouts and the maker’s driver is old, and keep the maker’s file so you can go back.
Questions
Why does my hardware ID not say AX211?
The AX211 is a CNVi part. The PCI ID is registered to the platform, such as Alder Lake or Raptor Lake, so the lookup names the chipset family.
Can I fit an AX211 in any laptop?
No. Intel says the CNVi interface works with select Intel platforms, and it differs from the plain PCIe design of the AX210.
Is it Wi-Fi 6E?
Yes. It covers 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz with two streams.
