Intel AX201 driver download
The Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 is listed in Intel's Wireless Wi-Fi Drivers package for Windows 10 and 11, version 24.80.0 from 20 October 2026. It works only on select Intel platforms, so Windows Update and your PC maker are the best first stops.

The short version
What to install and where it comes from. Every link goes to the manufacturer or Microsoft, never to a copy.

Step by step
Identify the entry
In Device Manager look for Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz under Network adapters.
Use Windows Update
Run Check for updates and install any Intel wireless driver under Optional updates.
Visit the PC maker
The AX201 is common in business laptops and small desktops. Their support pages list the version tested for each model.
Download Intel's package
Intel's 24.80.0 installer names the AX201 in its Wi-Fi 6 group. Run it and accept the prompts.
Install the Bluetooth driver too
Intel's Bluetooth installer also names the AX201. Run it if Bluetooth devices drop out.
Where the AX201 lives
The AX201 is a Wi-Fi 6 module built on Intel’s CNVi design, made for laptops and small desktops on select Intel platforms. Intel’s support note says its interface is proprietary, so the module can only be used with select Intel chipsets and platforms. It comes as an M.2 2230 module and a smaller M.2 1216 module, the latter sometimes soldered in.
What that means for drivers
Windows sees the logic as a platform device. Several PCI entries therefore appear in the hardware list below, including the 400 and 500 series chipsets. Whatever the entry, the AX201 is named in Intel’s current Wi-Fi package, so the same installer fits all of them. Intel’s package also covers the AX203, AX101 and AX231 in the same Wi-Fi 6 group.
If Wi-Fi drops
Roll back to your PC maker’s version through Device Manager, Driver tab, Roll Back Driver. Many business laptops run for years on the maker driver without a fault, and Intel’s version helps mainly when a known bug applies.
Questions
AX200 or AX201?
The AX200 is a full PCIe card. The AX201 uses Intel's proprietary interface and works only with select Intel chipsets. Intel keeps the AX200 on a separate end-of-life download.
Why do I see a platform name instead of AX201?
On some systems the PCI entry carries the chipset family, such as the 500 series. The AX201 module is still the radio.
Can I swap it for an AX210?
Not reliably. The AX201 is tied to the platform. Check your PC maker before changing the card.
