Intel BE200 Wi-Fi 7 driver

The Intel Wi-Fi 7 BE200 is in the supported list of Intel's Windows 10 and 11 Wi-Fi package, version 24.80.0. Windows 11 is the better match for Wi-Fi 7 features. Intel's Bluetooth driver is a separate download.

Step by step

  1. Match the name

Device Manager should list Intel Wi-Fi 7 BE200 320MHz. Open Hardware Ids to confirm DEV_272B or DEV_A840.

  2. Update Windows first

Wi-Fi 7 support is best on current Windows 11 builds. Run Windows Update, including Optional updates.

  3. Check the PC maker

Gaming laptops and workstations with a BE200 often carry a maker driver on the support page for your model.

  4. Run Intel's installer

Download Intel's 24.80.0 Wi-Fi file and install it. BE200 is named under the Wi-Fi 7 group.

  5. Install Bluetooth

Add Intel's Bluetooth package. It names the BE200 as well.

  6. Check the link speed

Open Wi-Fi properties after connecting. A Wi-Fi 7 router is needed to see 802.11be and the wide 320 MHz channels.

What changes in Wi-Fi 7

The BE200 is Intel’s Wi-Fi 7 card with two streams. Intel lists a maximum of 5.8 Gbps using 320 MHz channels and 4096-QAM across the 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz bands. Those wide channels live in 6 GHz, so your router must offer them for you to see any benefit. A BE200 on a Wi-Fi 6 router still works, just at Wi-Fi 6 speeds.

Hardware details

Intel’s spec page gives the 2230 module as a Key E socket part and a smaller 1216 module soldered to a board. The connector is listed as PCIe and USB, so unlike the CNVi AX211 it does not rely on the CPU for logic. Two PCI IDs appear below because the same chip family also covers other Intel Wi-Fi 7 names.

Driver advice

Intel groups BE213, BE211, BE202, BE201 and BE200 together in one Wi-Fi 7 section. A single installer covers them. Keep Bluetooth in step by installing Intel’s Bluetooth file from the same date. If your laptop maker supplies its own build, try it first, since it may include power tweaks for the machine.

Questions

Is the BE200 the same as the Killer BE1750?

They share a hardware ID in the PCI list (272B), but Intel treats Killer as a separate branded product. See the Killer page for its software.

Does the BE200 need a special slot?

Intel says it works only with an E key in the 2230 size. The smaller 1216 module is soldered to a board.

Do I need Windows 11?

Intel's package supports both Windows 10 and 11, but Wi-Fi 7 features depend on the Windows build and the router.
