Intel AX200 driver download

Intel's main Wi-Fi package (24.80.0) no longer includes the Wi-Fi 6 AX200. Intel keeps a separate AX200 page with driver 24.20.2.1, dated 24 March 2026, and states it is the last version and end of life. Try Windows Update and your PC maker first.

Step by step

  1. Check the adapter name

In Device Manager, under Network adapters, look for Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz. The Hardware Ids tab should show DEV_2723.

  2. Try Windows Update

Select Check for updates and look at Optional updates. Intel's page itself says Windows Update or your PC maker may carry other versions.

  3. Open Intel's AX200 page

Do not use the general Wi-Fi page: it no longer covers this card. Use the AX200 page and download WiFi-24.20.2-Driver64-Win10-Win11.exe.

  4. Get the Bluetooth driver

Intel lists a separate AX200 Bluetooth download, also end of life. Install it if you use Bluetooth.

  5. Restart and test

Restart, reconnect to your network and check Device Manager for warning icons.

The AX200 in plain terms

The AX200 was Intel’s first retail Wi-Fi 6 card, a 2x2 module that plugs into an M.2 slot and talks to the PC over PCIe. It was widely fitted to gaming laptops and added to desktop builds as an upgrade. Because it is a full card, it works in any compatible slot, unlike the AX201, which only works with certain Intel platforms.

Why you must use the special page

Intel’s main Wireless Wi-Fi package, version 24.80.0, lists AX201, AX210, AX211, BE200 and others, but states it no longer includes the discontinued AX200. The AX200 page offers driver 24.20.2.1, and says plainly that this is the last wireless driver version for these products. The page also carries the warning about security vulnerabilities in end-of-life software.

What to do if you want a newer driver

Nothing newer will come from Intel for this card. If you need active support, a replacement is the honest answer. An AX210 or BE200 fits the same type of slot on many boards, although some laptop makers restrict which cards boot. Check your maker’s documentation first. Until then, keep Windows updated and install Intel’s last driver.

Questions

Why is the AX200 missing from the main package?

Intel calls the AX200 discontinued and removed its drivers from the current Wi-Fi package. They live on a dedicated page.

Is the old driver safe to use?

Intel warns that software for end-of-life products may contain security vulnerabilities. Keep Windows patched, and think about a newer card if the PC supports one.

Does the AX200 do 6 GHz?

No. It is a Wi-Fi 6 card for 2.4 and 5 GHz. The AX210 is the Wi-Fi 6E step up.
