Canon printer driver
Get the Canon printer driver from Canon U.S.A. support: type your exact model, such as PIXMA TS3722, choose it from the list, then select Software & Drivers. Canon detects your operating system and lists the printer driver, which you need to print and, on models that have them, to scan and fax.

The short version
What to install and where it comes from. Every link goes to the manufacturer or Microsoft, never to a copy.
Official files only, nothing bundled
Step by step
Copy the model from the printer
Canon asks you to type the model exactly as it appears on the unit. PIXMA and imageCLASS are separate product lines, and one missing letter can lead you to a different printer's page.
Let Windows try first
Open Settings, Bluetooth & devices, Printers & scanners and select Add a printer or scanner. If Windows finds the printer and prints a test page, you may not need Canon's download at all, unless you want its scanning software.
Find your model on Canon support
Type the model in the search box on Canon U.S.A. support and choose it from the dropdown. On the model page, select Software & Drivers. Canon detects your system. If it guessed wrong, change it in the dropdowns.
Pick the file and download it
Set Download Type to All, Drivers, or Software & Utilities, then select Download next to the file you want. If it is not shown, scroll down and choose Load More to see the rest of the list.
Run the installer and connect
On Windows, open the .exe file. On a Mac, open the .dmg and then the .pkg inside it. Connect by USB, or follow the prompts to join the printer over Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
Print a test page
Canon suggests a test page to confirm the driver and connection work. Then open any optional software you installed, such as the scan tool, and check it can see the printer.
Your model name decides everything
Canon sells many printers whose names differ by one or two characters, and each has its own driver list. The name printed on the unit is the one Canon wants. Typing only part of it, or a series name, can show you files for another printer that install but never find yours.
When to update the Canon driver
Canon’s own advice is to update or reinstall drivers when you get a new printer or PC, move to a newer operating system, or when the printer and computer stop talking to each other. If printing works and nothing changed, there is no need to chase every new release.
Firmware is a separate download
Some Canon model pages list firmware next to the driver. Firmware runs inside the printer itself. Install it only after the driver works, and follow the steps given with that firmware file. After it runs, Canon suggests checking that the device is up to date.
Questions
Why is there no Mac driver for my Canon?
Canon says certain PIXMA TS, TR and CanoScan models have no Mac driver because they print and scan through AirPrint, which is part of macOS. Add the printer in System Settings instead.
Which Canon file do I need?
Most people download two things: the printer driver, which is required, and optional software such as scanning or photo printing tools. Firmware and manuals are listed on the same page.
How do I scan on Windows with a PIXMA?
Canon's knowledge base covers IJ Scan Utility for scanning documents and photos on Windows. Install the scan utility from your model's Software & Drivers list if it is not on your PC.
The list shows only a few files
Canon may filter by Download Type and shows a short list at first. Set Download Type to All, then use Load More at the bottom of the list.
