Intel UHD Graphics 620 driver
Intel UHD Graphics 620 is covered by Intel Graphics Driver 31.0.101.2145 for 7th to 10th Gen processor graphics, dated September 22, 2026, 278.1 MB. Laptop owners should check the maker's support page first, because Intel's installer overwrites the maker's customised driver.

The short version
What to install and where it comes from. Every link goes to the manufacturer or Microsoft, never to a copy.
Official files only, nothing bundled
Step by step
Match the hardware ID
In Device Manager, open the adapter's Properties, Details and Hardware Ids. DEV_5917, DEV_3EA0 or DEV_3EA9 means UHD Graphics 620.
Check the laptop maker first
Search your exact model on the maker's support site and look under Video or Graphics. Install that version if it is recent.
Look at Windows Update
Open Optional updates in Windows Update and install an Intel display driver if offered.
Download Intel's package
Open the Intel page, accept the licence, and download gfx_win_101.2145.exe. Run it as administrator.
Restart and check
Restart, open the Driver tab of the adapter and read the version. Check that brightness keys and external displays still work.
Which laptops have UHD Graphics 620
UHD Graphics 620 is the integrated graphics of many thin laptops. The PCI ID Repository lists it under three codenames: Kaby Lake-R, Whiskey Lake-U and Coffee Lake-U. It is the graphics tier of many 7th and 8th Gen U-series laptop chips.
What Intel’s page says
The page for the 7th to 10th Gen package names UHD Graphics 620 in its supported products. The current version is 31.0.101.2145, released September 22, 2026. The file is 278.1 MB. The package supports Windows 10 from 1809 through 22H2 and Windows 11.
What legacy means for this chip
Intel moved these products to a legacy software support model on July 27, 2022. It will still provide critical and security fixes, on a quarterly schedule, but not game launch tuning. So installing the latest version is worthwhile mostly for security, not speed.
If the display misbehaves
Flicker or a wrong resolution after an update usually means the maker’s tuned driver was replaced. Use Roll Back Driver, or install the maker’s package again.
Questions
Is UHD 620 the same as HD 620?
They are close but listed as separate products. Intel's 7th to 10th Gen package lists both.
Will new games run better after updating?
Not by much. Intel says day zero game support has ended for 6th to 10th Gen graphics, which now get critical and security fixes only.
Does the package work on Windows 11?
Yes. Intel's page lists Windows 11 and Windows 10 versions 1809 to 22H2.
The installer says my driver is customised.
Your laptop maker changed it. Intel warns it will overwrite that version. Keep the maker's driver unless you have a fault.
