Get the AMD RAID driver
The AMD RAID driver is listed on AMD's download page for your chipset, under the Windows 11 package list, next to an AMD RAID Installer for SATA and NVMe RAID. RAIDXpert2 is the management app. Your motherboard maker may supply a tested copy, and a Windows setup disc needs the driver loaded to see RAID drives.

The short version
What to install and where it comes from. Every link goes to the manufacturer or Microsoft, never to a copy.

Step by step
Decide if you need it
You need an AMD RAID driver only if the BIOS storage mode is set to RAID, or you build a RAID array. Plain AHCI and single NVMe drives work without it.
Find your chipset
Read the chipset name on the motherboard box or manual, for example X870E. Open AMD's download page for that chipset.
Download RAID driver and installer
On the Windows 11 list, pick the AMD RAID Driver and the AMD RAID Installer. Also grab the RAIDXpert2 user guide AMD provides with them.
For a clean install, load the driver
Unzip the RAID driver to a USB stick. At the Windows setup disk screen choose Load driver and select the AMD driver folder.
Install in Windows and restart
Run the installer, restart and open RAIDXpert2 to check array status. Do not change the BIOS storage mode afterwards.
What the AMD RAID driver does
Windows has built in drivers for plain SATA and NVMe drives. RAID mode is different. When the BIOS places drives under AMD’s RAID controller, Windows needs AMD’s RAID driver to see them. That driver sits under the file system and presents a RAID array, or a single drive in RAID mode, as an ordinary disk.
Where the driver is listed
AMD gathers each chipset’s downloads on one page. For the X870E page, a search result lists an AMD RAID Installer for SATA and NVMe RAID, and an AMD RAID Driver for the same two cases, along with the RAIDXpert2 user guide. We could not load that page through our checking tool today, so check the version and date on AMD’s page before you download. We have not listed a version number for that reason.
Boards and old chipsets
Boards with older chipsets may not get the same package on AMD’s page. In that case use the motherboard maker’s support page. The table above lists PCI IDs for SATA controllers in RAID mode. A modern board will show different entries.
If you do not want RAID, set the BIOS back to AHCI before you install Windows, not afterwards. Changing it on an installed system can stop Windows from booting.
Questions
Which AMD page lists the RAID driver?
The download page for your chipset. AMD's X870E page lists both the RAID Installer and the smaller RAID Driver, and supports RAID 0, 1 and 10 for NVMe and SATA. Older chipsets have older pages.
Is this the same as the AMD chipset driver?
No. The chipset package is a separate download, covered on the AMD chipset driver page. RAID is an extra driver for RAID mode.
Do I need RAIDXpert2?
It is the AMD tool for creating and watching arrays. AMD's quick start guide says it can come from the Microsoft Store or AMD's support site.
Can the motherboard maker help?
Yes. AMD's guide says the latest executable can come from your system supplier or motherboard vendor. Their copy is tested on the board.
