How to install the driver for 8 Series/C220 Series Chipset Family USB xHCI
- Confirm the ID. In Device Manager, right-click the device, open Properties, then Details, and pick Hardware Ids. The first line should start with
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_8C31. - Try Windows Update. Settings, Windows Update, Advanced options, Optional updates. Windows includes drivers for most USB controllers; updates may appear here.
