Bluetooth driver for Windows 11
Windows 11 installs most Bluetooth drivers itself through Windows Update. If yours is missing or old, download the Bluetooth driver for your exact model from your PC maker's support site. For Intel adapters, Intel also publishes a Wireless Bluetooth driver package for Windows 10 and 11.

Step by step
See which Bluetooth chip you have
Open Device Manager and expand Bluetooth. The adapter often has radio or wireless in its name. If there is no Bluetooth section, look under Other devices for an entry with a yellow warning sign.
Install driver updates from Windows Update
Open Settings, Windows Update, Check for updates. Then go to Advanced options, Optional updates and install any Bluetooth driver listed under Driver updates.
Download from your PC maker
On a laptop or prebuilt desktop, open the maker's support page for your model, choose Windows 11 and look for Bluetooth, often filed under Networking or Wireless.
Use Intel's package for Intel adapters
If the adapter name starts with Intel and the maker's driver is old, Intel's Wireless Bluetooth package supports AX and BE series cards plus the 9260, 9461, 9462 and 9560.
For a USB Bluetooth dongle, use its maker
Plug the dongle into a port on the PC. If Windows does not set it up by itself, get the driver from the dongle maker's own website, not a download site.
Restart and look for the toggle
After the install, restart. Open Settings, Bluetooth and devices. A Bluetooth on and off switch at the top means the driver loaded.
Where the Bluetooth radio lives
On most laptops, Bluetooth is not a separate part. It sits on the same small card as Wi-Fi, made by a chip company such as Intel, Realtek, Qualcomm or MediaTek. Desktop motherboards with built-in Wi-Fi work the same way. That is why your PC maker’s support page, which knows which card your model shipped with, is the best place to start.
Installing a driver you downloaded
Most maker and Intel downloads are .exe installers that you run like any program. If you get a folder with .inf files instead, open Device Manager, right-click the Bluetooth adapter and select Update driver, then Browse my computer for drivers, and point it at that folder. Microsoft advises against getting drivers from any site other than the manufacturer’s official one.
Questions
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on one card: one driver?
Usually two. Combo cards from Intel and others use a Wi-Fi driver and a separate Bluetooth driver. Update both from the same source so the versions match.
My PC has no Bluetooth section at all.
Your PC may not have Bluetooth. Microsoft notes that most Windows PCs have it built in, and a USB Bluetooth adapter adds it to those that do not.
Why might Intel's driver lose features?
Intel warns that the computer maker may have changed or replaced the driver for your component. Its generic version can drop those changes, so try the maker's driver first.
